Systems Engineer

The successful applicant for this role will be joining an experienced engineering team with an exciting development programme working on award winning solutions for significant clients within the private and public sectors. As part of the Design and Development Community, they will work with technologies from Cisco, Nuance, Microsoft, ECT and Kcom’s own bespoke solutions predominantly in the Contact Centre area.

This is a rare opportunity in a department at the forefront of Kcom’s managed service capability with an exciting development and design role in an expanding area of the business.

Responsible for the delivery of and change to bespoke software solutions for KCOM customers, the key result areas are:

• Deployment of Change Requests, updates and other work as directed, within a number of customer accounts
• Contribution towards optimum solution design, integration plan and development roadmap for on premise, cloud and hybrid environments
• Effective project delivery through close collaboration with Systems Consultants, Pre-Sales, Sales and the Project Management Office
• Application of quality assurance and quality testing practices
• Collation of information from project delivery onwards, to provide continuous improvement capability
• Development and enhancement of individual technical capability through technological cross-training


The successful applicant will have knowledge and experience of working in Cisco Contact Centre UCCE / UCCX environments integrated with Cisco Unified Customer Voice Portal (CVP) and Nuance technologies. They will have some certifications related to CVP/ Nuance, supported by a proven track record of engineering involvement. They will have an emphasis on time management, quality and attentio


• Strong experience in Cisco Unified Customer Voice Portal (CVP) and Nuance technologies
• Experience in Speech Recognition IVR application deployments.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Excellent team player
• Adaptable and self-motivated individual who is well organised and focussed on detail
• Good technical documentation writing skills
• Experience of full project lifecycle


• Nuance installation skills
• Voice biometrics and anti-fraud capability
• Natural Language Routing and Directed Speech Application experience
• IVR and Speech Performance testing using Cyara or similar
• VMWare, and CTI integration knowledge
• Experience of project delivery
• Knowledge of e-Gain and Verint product set
• Accreditation appropriate to role including ITIL foundation
• Microsoft OS skills
